MEASUREQUICK DIAGNOSTICS
Is your system
breathing right?
Static pressure and airflow measured with connected instruments — compared against what your equipment actually requires, not guessed.
WHAT WE MEASURE
The numbers behind
the airflow.
Every reading is taken with calibrated instruments and recorded with the equipment info and test conditions.
Total external static pressure
The resistance your blower works against, measured in inches of water column. Compared against the equipment's rated maximum — most residential systems are rated for 0.5".
Supply & return static
Measured separately to find which side is restrictive: undersized ductwork, a choked filter, or closed dampers each leave a different fingerprint.
Airflow (SCFM)
Actual delivered airflow versus the 350–400 CFM per ton your system was designed for. Low airflow means poor cooling, humidity problems, and frozen coils.
WHY IT MATTERS
High static pressure
is a silent killer.
It strains the blower motor, raises noise, cuts airflow to distant rooms, and shortens equipment life — all while the thermostat looks satisfied.
Comfort
Weak airflow to some rooms and blasting airflow to others usually traces back to pressure problems, not equipment size.
Equipment life
A blower fighting high static runs hotter and harder. Measuring it catches the strain before the motor fails.
Honest answers
When we say your ducts are restrictive, we show you the reading — not just an opinion.
